Topic:
“Effective EHS Auditing” starts with WHY an audit is being conducted. With this intent in mind, a proper audit scope can be created and associated planning can be initiated. Effective audits will follow certain protocols and will avoid pitfalls. Many different types of tools and information sources can also be used to conduct a successful audit. This training includes 2 integrated pop quizzes that will encourage student participation.
Learning objective: Provide information, tools, and perspective to both auditors and auditees for successful EHS audit.
Presenter Bio:
Andrea Simmons graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a BS degree in Environmental, Population, and Organismic Biology and has 14,001 and 9001 ISO Auditor certifications. She has over 30 years of experience as an EMS professional, has conducted hundreds of environmental, health and safety and quality audits (both for legal and ISO compliance), and has also developed and executed and given training on integrated EHS&Q programs. Andrea is currently a Managing Consultant with Trinity Consultants.
