AWMA-AIHA CONFERENCE
There is still time to register for the joint one-day conference of the Central New York Chapters of AWMA and AIHA. The conference will be held on March 22, 2016 at the Lodge at Welch Allyn, which provides delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere to get away from the daily routine. There’s even an ice cream sundae bar during the afternoon break!
We also have a terrific program scheduled for the day, and the program brochure is available here: http://www.awma-cny.org/pdf/AWMA_2016_Program.pdf.
The morning Plenary Session features three speakers who will focus on the theme of the Conference – OUR COMMON HOME. The Rev. George V. Coyne, former Director of the Vatican Observatory, will talk on the formation of the universe and the uniqueness of our planet. Noted local meteorologist Dave Eichorn, will present an update on climate change from his well-received presentation given several years ago. Dr. Ed Bogucz, from the Syracuse University Center of Excellence, will discuss the Seven Generations of Environmental Stewardship in Central New York and Today’s Challenges. The four afternoon program tracks offer a wide range of exceptional speakers presenting on topics currently affecting our region. This promises to be one of our most exciting programs to date!
