Webinar Description: The detection of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in the environment is of continued concern due to their high persistence and hazardous effect on public health and safety. In this talk, general information on the occurrence of PFAS in the environment and engineered systems will be provided. In addition, there will be a detailed discussion on our recent work on the treatment technologies, including photocatalysis, hydrothermal treatment, ultrasonication, and plant-enhanced remediation approaches, for PFAS in water, soil, and sewage sludge.
